1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GitHub Deployment Freeze (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and organizations that install the GitHub App.

2. Description of Service

GitHub Deployment Freeze is a GitHub App and web dashboard that enables you to:

  • Temporarily freeze deployments to specific GitHub environments
  • Block deployment attempts during designated freeze periods
  • Manage deployment freezes through a web dashboard or API
  • Set auto-expiring freezes for planned maintenance windows
  • Control per-environment deployment policies across your repositories

The Service integrates with GitHub's Custom Deployment Protection Rules to manage deployment workflows.

3. GitHub Account and App Installation

To use the Service, you must:

  • Have a valid GitHub account in good standing
  • Install the GitHub Deployment Freeze App on your repositories or organization
  • Have appropriate permissions (write or admin access) to the repositories you wish to manage
  • Comply with GitHub's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account and any actions taken through your account.
